CELPE-BRAS Examination Preparation
What’s the CELPE-Bras?
The CELPE-Bras (Certificado de Proficiência em Língua Portuguesa para Estrangeiros / Certificate of Proficiency in Brazilian Portuguese for Foreigners) is the only official and recognized diploma of Portuguese language studies for foreigners. The exam was established by the Brazilian Ministry of Education and Culture (MEC) in cooperation with the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE). It is internationally recognized as proof of competence in the Portuguese language. The test examines written and spoken communication skills in Brazilian Portuguese in different everyday situations. Once having taken the exam you will be placed in one of the following levels:
- Intermediário
- Intermediário Superior
- Avançado
- Avançado Superior

CELPE-BRAS Preparation Course
This exam measures test-takers' level of proficiency in Portuguese. CELPE BRAS is the official exam developed and given by the Brazilian government, and is required for those who wish to live and work in Brazil. Businesses and educational institutions use it to determine employment and study placements. The exam is offered twice a year: April and October.
My exam preparation classes focus on developing the student's abilities in all areas tested. Another important factor that greatly influences the student's performance is the time spent in intimate contact with the Brazilian culture. As a qualified native teacher I will prepare you for the examination using all types of texts, radio and TV reports, interviews, etc. in order to develop your listening, reading comprehension, speaking, and writing ability. This course focuses on both the written and spoken aspects of the Portuguese language and gives you the means to deal with any situation you might encounter in the CELPE examination.
