ONE TO ONE PORTUGUESE LESSONS
One-to-one lessons are by far the most effective and fastest way to learn the language. In essence your lessons are completely tailored for you, and your reason for learning the language, whether it be for basic conversation, for business or an academic qualification. At the start we will discuss your aims and objectives. A standard class is 2 hours. If necessary, we can arrange shorter lessons for those under time constraints, within a lunch hour for example.
TWO/THREE TO ONE PORTUGUESE LESSONS
Very similar to One-To-One apart from you are learning Portuguese with (a) friend(s) or partner(s). The added advantage is the motivation provided to one another to practice and help each other with Portuguese exercises between lessons. Please note: this type of class requires the students to be in the same level.
GCSE Portuguese Tuition (U.K.)
Whether you are currently studying your GCSE Portuguese at school or as a private candidate, taking lessons with a private tutor will give you that extra boost you need to pass with flying colours. Most GCSE students tend to learn in large classes, which usually means they don't get much chance to speak or practise their Portuguese. Private tuition on your own, or with friends or classmates in a small group, means the tutor can spend more time with you and answer your individual needs, plus you get more chance to practice speaking. I will prepare you thoroughly for both written and oral exams, using both traditional grammar based exercises and communicative techniques to help students speak more fluently and grow in confidence with verbal skills. I am especially aware of the needs of students studying for their GCSE and I’ll do my best to find the ideal approach and methodology for each specific case.
"A" – LEVELS (U.K.)
Studying for either AS or A-level Portuguese can be daunting and can seem like a giant leap from GCSE. Complementing your studies with private Portuguese tuition is an enormous help and not just at exam time. I will be able to quickly assess your strengths and weaknesses, and tailor the tuition to suit. This may involve improving fluency when speaking or helping to develop written skills. Not only will this help students pass exams successfully, but the learning experience will be enjoyable. I'll be able to complement any existing tuition and can help with homework. I am especially aware of the demanding pressures that students are under whilst studying for their AS/A levels, which I am adept in recognising and creating a less formalised yet highly effective learning experience.

METHODOLOGY
The methods I use place special emphasis on the development of language skills in the form of oral and written communication, while continuing to pay attention to the theoretical aspects of the language. The main objective of most of the courses is to improve the student's communicative skills. Due attention is also paid to grammar, vocabulary, reading and writing skills, and a variety of materials are used. I don't just want you to "know” the language - I want you to be able to understand and use it!
